Murderbot Watch Party

DCC Hosted

ASL | Captions | Hybrid | Masks Required | Open Audio Description

Want to get together with some friends and your favorite pop culture-loving human-bot construct? Yeah, us too! We’ll gather at the DCC and on Discord to watch and discuss a couple of episodes of Murderbot. If we have fun, we’ll do it again. Whether you can quote from the books or have NO idea what we’re talking about, welcome!

Murderbot is a show based on the “Murderbot Diaries” book series by Martha Wells. Set in a distant galaxy at some future time where corporations dominate every aspect of life, the show follows a security unit that calls itself Murderbot. After hacking its governor module (used by the company to control it), Murderbot spends its time watching the entertainment feeds, especially its favorite show, the Rise and Fall of Sanctuary Moon. We follow Murderbot on its adventures as it saves humans from their own foolish decisions while trying to evade capture and, most importantly, avoid eye contact.
