Rosemary’s mending and quilting workshop is disability justice in action. It’s a hard NO to disposability and capitalism and a F**K YES to sustainability, wholeness, collective access, and alllll the good stuff. For mending, she’ll teach different approaches and techniques, all of them centering the mender’s body, mind, and aesthetic. She’s also here to support with making your Disability Visibility Quilt square. If you want to mend, bring a garment, stuffy, blanket (anything really!) that needs some love, and we’ll supply the expertise and materials. For quilting, you can bring any fabric scraps that you love, or you can use what we have at the DCC. Whether you’re curious and excited to learn or a dedicated mender or quilter who can share your knowledge, we’d love to have you!
