Looking for someone who gets it?
Join ILRCSF’s Peer Mentor Program
The Peer Mentor Program is a supportive virtual program for adults with disabilities who want to connect with others, share lived experience, and build meaningful peer relationships.
Peer mentoring is not about having all the answers. It is about listening, learning, sharing, and supporting each other in a thoughtful and respectful way.
In this program, you can:
– Meet other people with disabilities
– Connect with people who may understand parts of your experience
– Practice supportive communication
– Explore boundaries, trust, and mutual support
– Share lived experience in a thoughtful way
– Build community in a low-pressure space
You do not need mentoring experience to join.
You do not have to be outgoing.
You do not have to have everything figured out.
This is a space to learn, practice, connect, and grow together.
Participants will meet as a group on Zoom every other week. You will also have the opportunity to connect with a peer partner or small group between meetings in a way that works for you. This may include phone, text, email, Zoom, or in person.
Group meetings: Every other Tuesday
Accessibility: Access matters. Materials can be shared in advance, and there are multiple ways to participate, including speaking, typing in the chat, or listening. Accommodations can be requested at any time.
Registration Information: Register here.
