Cafe Crip is a monthly gathering to talk about important topics within our disability communities. This March we’re talking about a Black feminist disability framework. Guided by our facilitator Bianca Laureano, we’ll dig into the intersectionality of oppression and the importance of putting Black Studies and Disability Studies in conversation in order to find gaps and better build toward collective liberation. We send readings in advance, but they are optional, and there will be plenty of opportunities to jump in if your capacity doesn’t allow for reading them. Facilitator Bianca Laureano leads the group through community agreements and access principles to ensure everyone can join this informal community-building hangout.
